Security, safety, and reliability are fundamental attributes of dependable systems, particularly for mission- and safety-critical applications where failures, vulnerabilities, or unsafe behavior can have serious consequences. While security protects systems against attacks, safety prevents hazardous system behavior, and reliability ensures failure-free operation under specified conditions. These attributes are increasingly interconnected and must be considered together throughout the system life cycle.
As systems become more complex, interconnected, intelligent, and autonomous, ensuring their security, safety, and reliability requires both advances in existing technologies and innovative new solutions. Emerging artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, including machine learning (ML), deep learning (DL), and large language models (LLMs), offer significant opportunities to support these advances, while also introducing new challenges to the trustworthiness and dependability of AI-enabled systems.
ISSSR provides a forum for researchers and practitioners from academia and industry to present their latest work, share experiences, and exchange ideas on technologies and solutions for secure, safe, and reliable systems. It also promotes academia-industry collaboration by connecting research advances with real-world needs and challenges.
ISSSR 2027 will be held on May 15-16, 2027, in Kunming, China.
